Prior to a shovel breaking ground, careful planning, preparation, and design need to take place to ensure a successful construction effort. Benike is able to assist project teams with preconstruction expertise that only comes from decades of industry leadership and service. Low cost, high impact decisions are made during the preconstruction phase, which minimize pitfalls during construction and adds significant value to the end product.
Preconstruction Services
Preconstruction services go beyond budgeting and estimating costs of your project. Other services offered during the preconstruction phase include:
- Assist in selection of the Design Team and project consultants
- Prepare a design schedule with milestones
- Cost estimating services and budget check-ins
- Budget updates and value engineering throughout preconstruction phase
- Constructability Review
- Design-Assist
- Review current supply-chain impacts / lead times
- Create procurement schedule to assist with any early-release materials, vendors & equipment.
- Review specifications including assistance with “front end” specs (div 00 and 01).
- Develop interest and create attractive bid packages to facilitate competitive bidding with subcontractor market.
- Subcontractor solicitation and early-partnering with certain trades
- Facilitate pre-bid walkthrough
- Review bids for completeness and recommend awards to Owner.
- Assist with groundbreaking ceremony
